Life in the UK Test Prep
By downloading, installing, or using the Life in the UK Test Prep application ('the App'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LCS Dev ('we', 'us', or 'our'). Please read them carefully.
Life in the UK Test Prep is an educational mobile application designed to help users prepare for the official Life in the UK test, which is required for British citizenship and settlement applications. The App provides:
The App is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Home Office or any official government body.
You can create an account in the App to save a local profile on your device, or continue as a Guest. Account data (such as your email address and study progress) is stored on your device and not on our servers. You may delete your account at any time from More → Account & Data → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your local profile and progress from this device. It does not cancel App Store or Play Store purchases.

The App offers a free tier with limited content and a Premium tier with full access to all features. The price shown in the app is set by the Apple App Store or Google Play for your region (typically a one-time purchase). Premium provides lifetime access to the current version's features. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to the respective store's terms of service.
On iOS, your use of the App is additionally governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where that agreement and these Terms conflict, Apple's agreement prevails in respect of your licence to use the App.
Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple or Google, depending on where you made your purchase. We do not process refunds directly. If you experience technical issues preventing you from accessing Premium features you have paid for, please contact us at costadev@outlook.com and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are a consumer in the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 entitles you to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described; where it is not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund regardless of the store's own policy.
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Any price changes will not affect purchases already made.
The App's design, layout, graphics, user interface, and the specific presentation of study materials are owned by LCS Dev and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
The educational content within the App is based on information from the official Life in the UK: A Guide for New Residents handbook, published by the Home Office. This information is Crown copyright and is reproduced for educational purposes. Our presentation, organisation, questions, and explanations are our own original work.
If you submit any feedback, suggestions, or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use this content to improve our services.
The App is a study aid to help you prepare for the Life in the UK test. Using this App does not guarantee that you will pass the official test. Your success depends on your individual study efforts, comprehension of the material, and performance on the test day.
The App is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LCS Dev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium access, if any.
While we strive to keep our content accurate and up to date with the official handbook, we cannot guarantee that all information is current or error-free. The official Life in the UK test may include questions not covered in our App.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. This will remove your local data. No refund will be provided for Premium purchases upon voluntary termination.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, or engage in fraudulent activity. In cases of serious violation, termination may occur without prior notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law shall survive termination.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LCS Dev regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
